The trip to Istanbul was a long one from Troy (several hours). We enjoyed the ferry ride at the Dardanelles. In Istanbul we had a great hotel with excellent food and service. On our final full day of the tour we visited the Topkapı Palace, Hagia Sophia, Byzantine Cisterns (famous in James Bond movies), Blue Mosque and finally the Grand Bazaar (61 covered streets and over 3,000 shops). Rain made the day cold and wet.
