Our arrival in Cairo was late at night on December 28, 2010. We were met by our guide Mohammed El Deaouki, and transferred to our very luxurious hotel, Dreamland Sheraton. We began our tour on Wednesday morning, December 29, by driving to the famous Egyptian museum in Cairo. There we were able to see the famous King Tut exhibit. Following the museum we visited a Papyrus factory. We ate a great lunch at the Caviar Restaurant on the Nile followed by a visit to the pyramids of Giza. It was a tremendous first day! The next day we visited the Citadel of Saladin also known as the Mosque of Muhammad Ali or Alabaster Mosque. From there we leave for Mount Sinai.
