Laodicea is not only geographically between Hierapolis and Colossae, but it also is between them in development as well. The ruins of Hierapolis are very extensive while Colossae has none. Laodicea is a work in progress. Work is ongoing at the present. It prevented us from fully exploring the site on our visit.
